Keanu Reeves is apparently a big fan of crypto as he said in a recent interview with Wired that digital currencies are “amazing tools for exchanges and distribution of resources.”

Speaking about the core economical mechanics of the John Wick franchise, where the mercenaries of the universe use gold coin currency for unique services, Reeves said “the ideas behind an independent currency are amazing.” He added:
“These are amazing tools for exchanges and distribution of resources. So to pooh-pooh crypto, or the volatility of cryptocurrency, it’s only going to make it better in terms of how it’s safeguarded.”

In December 2021, Reeves told The Verge in an interview the idea of the metaverse is “way older than” Facebook’s Meta. He also revealed that his friend bought him cryptocurrency a “while back” but he prefers to hodl it, without naming it. Back then, the actor also laughed off the idea of non-fungible tokens (NFTs), saying these types of digital art can be “easily reproduced.”
