According to ConsenSys’ updated privacy policy, if users run their own Ethereum node or a third party RPC provider with MetaMask, then “neither Infura nor MetaMask” will collect their data.

The move comes after Uniswap Labs revealed that its exchange protocol Uniswap is storing user-related data such as device type and browser version to make “data-driven decisions that improve user experience.”

While the firm declined to disclose the full list of data, which Uniswap collets from users, Uniswap Labs noted it doesn’t store any personal data like first name, last name, street address, date of birth, email address, or IP address. The firm reassured users it doesn’t share data “with any third parties for marketing purposes.”
