According to him, the conflict that arose between them over the issue of the US division’s reliance on the parent company also led to Bankman-Fried’s hostility and, as a result, the ouster of the former FTX.US CEO.

The controversy arose in Harrison’s sixth month in the position, when he started to advocate independence for the division’s executive, legal and development teams, something with which Bankman-Fried disagreed.
