Circle Launches USDC on Polkadot’s Network

Circle has just announced the launch of the stablecoin USDC, the second largest stablecoin by market cap, on Polkadot’s Asset Hub paracachain.

According to the announcement:

“The integration will not only boost liquidity, but also allow easier institutional access to the ecosystem.”

The project developers have said USDC is ready for use in other paracains via the XCM protocol.

The Polkadot team has also announced the integration of the stablecoin with several ecosystem projects, including Centrifuge, HydraDX and Moonbeam.

Circle announced in August the launch of the asset on six new networks, including Base, Cosmos, NEAR, Optimism, Polkadot and Polygon.
